Med-SurgPhysiological adaptation

A client with left-sided heart failure suddenly reports severe dyspnea and pink, frothy sputum. Which action should the nurse take first?

  1. APlace the client in high-Fowler’s position
  2. BNotify the healthcare provider immediately
  3. CObtain a set of vital signs and pulse oximetry
  4. DAdminister the prescribed IV furosemide

Why this is the answer

Pink frothy sputum signals acute pulmonary edema. High-Fowler’s immediately reduces venous return and improves lung expansion: an independent nursing action requiring no order. Assessment and notification follow.

Interview prep

Pick the hospital and the unit. Practice the questions a panel asks, and what they listen for.

Your weak spots first

Prep keeps a reading for each topic you practice, and a mixed set leans toward where you are weakest.

Ask Scrub

Is this program a fit? What should you prepare? Ask about any residency on your board.

Our story

Built by a nurse.
For nurses.

Vibe Nursing started with a problem I was living.

In nursing school at Columbia University, I spent countless hours turning lecture slides into practice questions, and hunting residencies across endless hospital websites. So I built the tool I wished I had, and shared it with my classmates.

Questions

Where does the program information come from?

From each hospital’s own page. Our reader visits every program page in the catalog about twice a day, and a person on our team confirms the dates before a program shows as Open or Soon.

The program’s own page always wins. Check it before you apply, and if ours disagrees, tell us.

What do Open and Soon mean?

Open means the hospital is taking applications today: our team confirmed it on the program's page, or a new-graduate job is open on the hospital's own careers site. Soon means we confirmed an opening date still ahead. We never mark a program Open because we think it is due, and when the deadline passes or the last job closes, it goes back to All by itself.

How do alerts work?

Watch a program with its bell, and Vibe Plus tells you when it opens, when a person on our team confirms new dates, when its page changes in a way that matters, and when it has new-graduate openings. News about a program closing today or tomorrow reaches you on every plan.

Under You, then Notifications, you choose quiet hours, how many alerts a day, and whether the rest arrive together in one evening summary.

Where do the practice questions come from?

Two places. The question bank is written to the published test plans. Questions from your slides are written by an AI model from your own lecture, only after you allow it, and each one carries its rationale and the slide it came from.

They are practice in the style of the exams, not exam content. Flag anything that looks wrong and we re-check it against its source.

What is free, and what is Vibe Plus?

Prep is free: 10 new practice questions a day, from your own lecture slides or the question bank, with your misses to review and your streak. You can also join a friend’s Study Together session.

Vibe Plus adds every residency program in all 50 states with its dates, requirements and pay, Track with countdowns, alerts within minutes, Ask Scrub, interview prep, hosting Study Together, and 100 questions a day. It is $14.99 a month, $29.99 every 3 months or $83.99 a year.

Can my employer or school see any of this?

No. We never contact an employer, a school, a recruiter or a board about you, and nothing you do here is posted anywhere.

If you would rather not link a work Google account at all, you can sign in with Apple and hide your email instead. That is exactly why we offer it.
